Ivan is enthusiastic and loyal toward Dino Cavallone. Although he receives little individual characterization, his appearances establish the same devotion to Dino that defines the Cavallone boss's closest subordinates.

He willingly follows his Famiglia into unusual situations and shows no hesitation about supporting Dino's decisions.

Ivan is an active Cavallone mafioso, but the manga and anime do not establish a personal fighting style, named weapon or Dying Will Flame for him.

A Storm Flame is attributed to Ivan in card-game material, but he does not demonstrate this ability in the primary manga or anime canon.

Ivan appears during the Daily Life portion of the story as one of Dino Cavallone's accompanying subordinates.

He participates in the snowball fight involving Dino's men and Tsunayoshi Sawada's group. During the chaotic encounter, Bianchi's Poison Cooking incapacitates him.
