Ikazuchimaru

Ikazuchimaru is aggressive and competitive but more willing to cooperate with a partner than Kourimaru. He recognizes that their assignment is best accomplished through teamwork and becomes irritated when his partner's actions unnecessarily endanger him.

His loyalty to the Light Brigade makes him determined to complete Mizuchi's orders. He treats Sho and Kenzan as targets to be captured rather than opponents encountered through ordinary academy competition.

Despite working as half of a team, Ikazuchimaru is not willing to accept being sacrificed for his partner's strategy. The tension between the two villains becomes an exploitable weakness during their confrontation.

Ikazuchimaru uses a Thunder Deck based around electrical monsters and effects. His cards are designed to complement the elemental strategy used by Kourimaru, allowing the pair to fight as a coordinated team.

The Tag Duel format lets Ikazuchimaru combine his offensive options with his partner's Ice strategy. Their Decks are intended to create complementary pressure against Sho and Kenzan.

Ikazuchimaru's willingness to coordinate gives him an advantage over opponents who cannot work together, although that advantage deteriorates when disagreements emerge between him and Kourimaru.

Ikazuchimaru appears during the Society of Light storyline as one of four Light Brigade members working under Mizuchi. He and Kourimaru receive orders involving Sho and Kenzan.

The confrontation becomes a Tag Duel, forcing Sho and Kenzan to cooperate despite their contrasting personalities. Ikazuchimaru initially expects his partnership with Kourimaru to give their side the advantage.

Kourimaru's willingness to use effects that also harm Ikazuchimaru creates friction between them, while Sho and Kenzan gradually learn to coordinate their own strategies. The Duel Academy pair ultimately defeats the Light Brigade duo.

Mizuchi Saiou commands Ikazuchimaru as leader of the Light Brigade and sends him to capture members of Judai's group.

Kourimaru is Ikazuchimaru's partner during the mission. Ikazuchimaru becomes angry when Kourimaru's tactics damage him rather than respecting their need to cooperate.
