Hunt Gotou

Hunt is excitable, opportunistic and exceptionally greedy. Valuable objects immediately capture his attention, and he frequently evaluates situations according to how much money or treasure he might obtain from them.

His greed does not make him completely malicious. Hunt can cooperate with other people and initially helps Yuga's group when his unusual talent becomes useful, but the temptation of rare cards can overwhelm his better judgment.

He is also genuinely enthusiastic about dinosaurs. His membership in the Dueling and Dinosaur Research Club is not merely convenient; dinosaur imagery shapes his Deck and remains a consistent part of his identity.

Hunt possesses an unusual ability to detect valuables through sneezing. His reactions can reveal the presence of treasure or other objects of significant value, making him useful when conventional searching fails.

He uses a LIGHT Dinosaur Deck featuring Celebrontosaurus, Platinumdon and Zenigebazauls. The Deck eventually centers on the Maximum Monster Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynarmix.

Dynarmix is formed from three Maximum cards and gives Hunt access to the immense power associated with Maximum Summoning. His strategy also includes Jurassic World and Upstart Goblin, reinforcing both the Dinosaur theme and his fixation on wealth.

Hunt is introduced alongside Kan as part of Goha 2nd Elementary's dinosaur enthusiasts. He becomes more important when Nail Saionji recognizes that his treasure-detecting sneezes can assist Yuga and his friends.

During the conflict surrounding Goha 6th Elementary, Hunt's ability helps the group search for materials and cards connected to Maximum Summoning. His fascination with their potential value steadily grows.

Greed eventually leads Hunt to claim Maximum cards for himself and challenge Yuga with Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynarmix. Yuga defeats him, ending his attempt to profit from the power he has obtained.

Hunt continues appearing afterward and remains involved in Dueling, including a later match against Bakuro Shinjitsu.

Kan Hakubutsu leads the Dueling and Dinosaur Research Club to which Hunt belongs. Hunt shares Kan Hakubutsu's enthusiasm for dinosaurs, although his fixation on valuable objects gives him different priorities.

Nail Saionji recognizes the usefulness of Hunt's treasure-detecting ability and recruits him to assist with the search surrounding Maximum cards.

Yuga Ohdo initially benefits from Hunt's help. Hunt's greed later turns him against Yuga Ohdo, leading him to challenge Yuga Ohdo with Great Imperial Dinocarriage Dynarmix.

Bakuro Shinjitsu becomes one of Hunt's later Rush Duel opponents.
