Geon-U Kim

Geon-U is kind, dependable and generous toward Ju-Heon. His support is significant precisely because it is not based on Ju-Heon's usefulness as a relic user or the money he might eventually possess.

He is also strongly family-oriented. His wife and daughter are central to his everyday life, and his circumstances contrast with the ruthless competition dominating much of the Relic world.

Geon-U remains grounded even when supernatural phenomena begin intruding into ordinary households. His behavior reflects the perspective of civilians suddenly forced to live in a world where Tombs and Relics can appear without warning.

Geon-U is an ordinary human rather than a professional Tomb raider or Monarch. He has no major combat specialty comparable to Ju-Heon's excavation team.

He nevertheless becomes involved with a Relic phenomenon when an artifact appears around his home. This demonstrates how the spread of Tombs eventually affects civilians regardless of whether they deliberately participate in excavation.

Geon-U manages to overcome the troublesome Relic affecting his household through an unexpectedly mundane confrontation rather than specialized Relic combat.

Geon-U's relationship with Ju-Heon predates the latter's rise in the Relic world. Ju-Heon regards him as a benefactor who supported him when his circumstances were much worse.

His family later becomes involved with the broader consequences of Relics as supernatural artifacts increasingly appear in ordinary locations.

A Relic connected with gold manifests around Geon-U's home and eventually causes unusual effects in the household. Ju-Heon later assists with resolving the remaining problem after returning to Korea.

Ju-Heon Seo regards Geon-U as an important benefactor and one of the ordinary people who supported him before his rise as a Tomb raider.

Ji-Eun Yoon is Geon-U's wife. She shares his concern for Ju-Heon and preserves money sent by him rather than treating it casually.

Do-Yoon Kim is Geon-U and Ji-Eun's young daughter.
