Fuma

Fuma is aggressive, opportunistic and comfortable using numerical superiority against his targets. As the gang's leader, he directs the other thieves and expects them to follow his lead.

He has little interest in fair competition when first encountered. Fuma's criminal activities are based on taking what he wants, making him an easy person for Gilag to recruit when the Barian Emperor needs human agents.

Barian power further amplifies his hostility. Once empowered, Fuma becomes fixated on defeating Yuma and Astral as part of Gilag's mission rather than merely pursuing the gang's ordinary criminal goals.

Fuma uses a Machine Deck. His cards reflect the mechanical theme associated with his gang and provide him with the means to challenge Yuma in a formal duel after receiving Barian assistance.

He is also physically imposing and accustomed to working with other criminals. His normal advantages come from intimidation, numbers and coordinated theft rather than supernatural abilities.

Gilag grants Fuma Barian power, strengthening him and turning him into one of the earliest human proxies used by the Barian Emperors against Yuma.

Fuma appears shortly after the Barian Emperors begin their campaign on Earth. He leads a gang of thieves that encounters Yuma and becomes useful to Gilag's plans.

Gilag prefers using human proxies instead of immediately confronting Yuma himself, and Fuma provides one of his earliest opportunities to test that approach.

After receiving Barian power, Fuma challenges Yuma as part of Gilag's attempt to defeat him and Astral. Yuma overcomes the empowered thief, demonstrating that the Barians' ability to recruit human agents will not guarantee victory.

Gilag recruits Fuma and his gang for the Barian campaign. Gilag grants Fuma supernatural power so that he can challenge Yuma Tsukumo on the Barians' behalf.

Yuma Tsukumo becomes Fuma's principal opponent after the gang encounters him.

Astral is targeted alongside Yuma Tsukumo because of the Barians' larger objective involving the Numbers.
