Freed

Freed is courageous, disciplined and deeply committed to protecting the civilians under his command. The worsening situation in the Dark World does not diminish his sense of responsibility toward the survivors who depend on him.

He approaches Judai cautiously but quickly recognizes his determination to find Johan. Freed understands that the visitors have their own objective, yet their opposition to Brron's forces makes cooperation possible.

His leadership is defined by willingness to share the dangers faced by his soldiers. He does not remain safely behind his troops and is prepared to place himself directly between the Dark World army and the people he protects.

Freed is a Duel Monster spirit and military commander rather than a conventional human duelist. He leads the Steel Knight army in direct combat against the Dark World forces.

His appearance corresponds to Freed the Brave Wanderer, a LIGHT Warrior monster. As a spirit, he can physically fight within the alternate dimension where Duel Monsters exist as living beings.

Freed's most important strengths are his battlefield experience and leadership. He organizes the remaining resistance despite facing an enemy force that has steadily reduced the human population.

Freed appears after Judai's group enters a dimension dominated by Dark World monsters while searching for Johan. He commands the remaining resistance and provides the newcomers with information about the conflict.

His forces oppose Brron's rule and attempt to protect human settlements from Dark World soldiers. Judai's arrival gives Freed a powerful new ally capable of challenging enemy commanders through dueling.

During Judai's confrontation with Zure, Freed places himself in danger to protect the others and becomes the card Freed the Brave Wanderer, providing Judai with the assistance needed to continue fighting.

Freed's sacrifice becomes another example of the mounting losses surrounding Judai during his journey through the Dark World.

Judai Yuki becomes Freed's ally after arriving in the Dark World. Freed recognizes Judai Yuki as someone capable of challenging the forces threatening the surviving humans.

Brron rules the Dark World and is the principal enemy of Freed's resistance.
