E.G. Mine

E.G. Mine is aggressive and confident in the intimidating weapon system surrounding him. He expects the sheer number and mobility of his spikes to make approaching him exceptionally difficult.

His presentation is more imposing than his actual performance against Vash. Once Vash understands the mechanisms controlling his attacks, Mine loses the advantage on which his confidence depends.

E.G. Mine wears a large spherical apparatus from which numerous metal spikes can be deployed. Threads connected to the spikes allow him to launch them outward and manipulate them after deployment rather than relying on simple ballistic trajectories.

The resulting network of spikes and wires lets him attack from multiple directions while restricting an opponent's movement. His equipment is designed to make approaching his central position hazardous.

Vash counters the system through precision rather than force. His marksmanship allows him to interfere with Mine's mechanisms and neutralize the elaborate attack pattern.

E.G. Mine is introduced among the Gung-Ho Guns assembled during Legato Bluesummers' campaign against Vash. His individual confrontation occurs during the Fifth Moon storyline alongside Rai-Dei the Blade.

Mine attempts to overwhelm Vash with his spike system but encounters an opponent capable of following and disrupting its mechanics. Vash defeats Mine without killing him, only for Rai-Dei to cut Mine down after his failure.

His brief battle reinforces the brutal internal culture surrounding the Gung-Ho Guns: failing against Vash can make a member expendable even to his supposed allies.

Vash the Stampede is E.G. Mine's target and the opponent who neutralizes his spike-based fighting system.

Rai-Dei the Blade fights during the same stage of the Gung-Ho Guns' campaign. Rai-Dei kills Mine after Vash defeats him.

Legato Bluesummers directs the campaign in which E.G. Mine participates.

Millions Knives is the figure behind the broader effort to break Vash through the Gung-Ho Guns.
