Drouot

Drouot is jovial, calm, and proud of his responsibility as the tower's master. Years of overseeing Grimoire Acceptance Ceremonies have left him familiar with unusual magical talents, yet Yuno's four-leaf grimoire still impresses him.

He handles the ceremony with the authority expected of its officiant without treating it as excessively solemn. His reaction to Asta's failure to receive a grimoire is surprise rather than cruelty, distinguishing him from the youths who openly mock Asta.

Drouot's personal magic attribute and combat abilities have not been established in the main series.

His principal responsibility is stewardship of the Hage Grimoire Tower. The building contains numerous unclaimed grimoires that select compatible mages during the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony, and Drouot is responsible for conducting that ceremony and guarding the collection.

Drouot presides over the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony attended by Asta, Yuno, and the other fifteen-year-olds of their region. He announces the ceremony and witnesses Yuno being chosen by a rare four-leaf clover grimoire.

Asta's failure to receive any grimoire shocks both Drouot and the assembled youths. Asta leaves the tower empty-handed, while Yuno departs with one of the most prestigious types of grimoire known in the Clover Kingdom.

The scene establishes the magical institution from which both protagonists begin their careers and makes Drouot one of the first authority figures encountered in the series.

Asta attends Drouot's Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony but initially leaves without receiving a grimoire.

Yuno receives a four-leaf clover grimoire during the ceremony overseen by Drouot, drawing the tower master's attention and admiration.
