Daddy Bear

Daddy Bear is an in-universe mascot rather than an independently acting member of the cast. Any apparent personality belongs to the character's commercial design and merchandise rather than to a narrative role comparable to the human characters.

Its visual appeal is nevertheless treated sincerely by its fans. Chihaya readily wears Daddy Bear clothing and carries related goods without embarrassment, making the mascot part of her everyday appearance.

Daddy Bear has no established abilities or powers within the main narrative. It exists as a commercial mascot represented on merchandise.

Its practical importance comes through recognition. Daddy Bear designs are distinctive enough that another fan can immediately identify them, allowing shared interest in mascot merchandise to become a small social connection between otherwise very different characters.

Shinobu Wakamiya immediately recognizes Daddy Bear merchandise despite being more closely associated with Snowmaru, giving Shinobu Wakamiya and Chihaya Ayase an unexpected shared interest in mascot characters.

Chitose Ayase receives a handmade Daddy Bear charm from Chihaya Ayase. Although Chitose Ayase acts dismissive about it, she keeps the charm with her during work.
