Cold Daiou

King Cold is calm, arrogant, calculating, and accustomed to standing at the top of an interstellar hierarchy. Unlike Frieza's more emotional response to humiliation, Cold often maintains an outwardly composed manner even when events turn against him.

He values strength above sentiment. His concern for Frieza coexists with the belief that their clan must remain the most powerful in the universe, and he is quick to reevaluate loyalties when someone stronger appears.

Cold also prefers manipulation where possible. Rather than immediately challenging a dangerous opponent himself, he attempts to identify and exploit what he assumes is the source of that opponent's advantage.

King Cold possesses enormous strength, speed, durability, flight, and ki manipulation, though the manga never shows the full extent of his abilities.

His size and appearance resemble Frieza's second form, but this does not establish that Cold is himself transformed. The form in which he appears is the only one shown in the original manga.

He is confident enough in his own power to consider confronting a Super Saiyan after witnessing Frieza's defeat, suggesting strength far beyond ordinary members of the Frieza Force.

Cold finds Frieza barely surviving after Planet Namek's destruction and has his forces reconstruct his son's body using advanced technology.

The pair travel to Earth to eliminate Goku before he can return, with Cold focusing on destroying the Super Saiyan who humiliated their family.

Instead they encounter Future Trunks. Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan and kills Frieza with his sword. Cold then asks to examine the weapon, assuming it explains Trunks' victory.

Cold attacks Trunks with the sword but has the strike stopped with one hand. Trunks then kills Cold with a point-blank energy blast. The official character showcase recounts the encounter directly.

Frieza is Cold Daiou's son and successor. Cold rescues him after Namek and supports his attempt to avenge his defeat.

Future Trunks confronts the father and son on Earth and kills both before Goku returns.

King Vegeta rules the Saiyans under Cold's family's broader imperial authority before Frieza assumes direct control. Cell later contains genetic material collected from King Cold alongside several other powerful fighters.
