Personality
Personality
Charlotte is serious, confident, competitive, and intensely loyal to Stanley Snyder. She idolizes Stanley as an ideal soldier and deliberately imitates aspects of his speech and mannerisms, even reproducing his voice convincingly.
She is aggressive in battle and initially treats the Kingdom of Science as an enemy force that should be eliminated. Her confidence occasionally becomes cockiness, particularly when she assumes improvised Stone World technology cannot compete with her military training.
Charlotte is not devoid of empathy. After Suika helps her despite their opposing sides, Charlotte hesitates when later ordered to kill the Kingdom of Science's people on sight.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Charlotte is an exceptional fighter pilot. She can perform demanding aerial maneuvers with aircraft built under Stone World conditions and gives Ryusui Nanami, himself an extraordinarily talented pilot, serious difficulty during their aerial engagement.
Her pre-petrification military background also includes firearms training and general combat discipline. She can operate weapons confidently, although her marksmanship is not portrayed as equal to Stanley's specialized sniper ability.
Charlotte's familiarity with military procedure makes her effective within coordinated units. She follows orders rapidly, communicates battlefield information, and understands how air power can support ground forces.
Story Role
Story Role
Charlotte enters the conflict after the Kingdom of Science escapes Xeno's American stronghold with Xeno as its captive. Stanley organizes a pursuit force, and Charlotte serves as one of its most important pilots.
She clashes directly with Ryusui in an aerial battle, where both sides push primitive aircraft to their limits. The Kingdom of Science compensates for its weaker military infrastructure with unconventional engineering and tactics.
Charlotte remains part of Stanley's pursuit as it continues south through the Americas.
Her encounters with enemies who spare or assist her begin complicating the absolute hostility expected by Stanley's campaign, particularly after Suika saves her.
Following the resolution of the American conflict and later revival efforts, Charlotte becomes part of the wider human rebuilding project rather than continuing to fight the Kingdom of Science.
