Billy Anderson

Billy is friendly, eccentric and remarkably difficult to surprise. Years of bizarre experiences have normalized the supernatural for him to the point that events other people would find terrifying are simply part of everyday life.

He is also willing to help strangers. When Ryu and his companions need transportation, Billy readily picks them up rather than interrogating them about their unusual appearance or circumstances.

His interpretation of unusual events is shaped by folklore, ghost stories and UFO culture. He tends to fit new experiences into the catalogue of supernatural phenomena he already believes he has encountered.

Billy is not established as a combat shaman and has no known Guardian Ghost, Furyoku level or Over Soul.

His unusual trait is his repeated exposure to supernatural phenomena. He claims to have seen UFOs and ghosts frequently, experiences crop circles appearing in his fields and recounts other paranormal encounters as ordinary events.

This familiarity makes him unusually accepting of the supernatural world, but the series does not establish it as a formal shamanic ability.

Billy lives and farms in the United States. His life has been filled with unexplained events since he witnessed a UFO as a child, leaving him accustomed to experiences that most people would dismiss.

During the journey to Patch Village, Ryu and his traveling companions become stranded and need transportation. Ryu uses his Over Soul Big Thumb to signal passing traffic.

Billy notices the enormous thumb and interprets Ryu as a legendary supernatural hitchhiker. Rather than fleeing, he stops his truck and gives the group a ride toward Yonta Fe, helping them continue their journey.

Ryunosuke Umemiya meets Billy while hitchhiking across America. Billy's willingness to pick him up provides Ryu and his companions with transportation when they need it.

Yoh Asakura is among the Shaman Fight participants whose journey through America forms the wider context for Billy's brief involvement.
