Asgeir

Asgeir is normally calm, intelligent, practical, and observant. He provides a counterweight to Thorkell's enthusiasm for dangerous fights by thinking about logistics, objectives, troop movements, and consequences.

Around Thorkell, that composure frequently disappears. Asgeir openly shouts at his commander when Thorkell does something reckless and can become visibly panicked when Thorkell seems genuinely endangered.

Their unusual dynamic reflects mutual respect. Thorkell does not simply treat Asgeir as another subordinate; he listens to his assessments and allows him to challenge decisions in ways few others could.
