Aoba Hashibira

He is also a dedicated botanist, having become involved with an extraordinarily rare plant that had eluded systematic study for generations.

A professional mistake surrounding the plant leaves him worried about his career. His reaction is not anger or aggression but a wish to withdraw somewhere quiet, emphasizing the contrast between his temperament and Inosuke's.

Aoba possesses no known supernatural abilities, Breathing Style, or combat training. His expertise is botanical research.

His principal achievement is the modern discovery of the Blue Spider Lily. The plant is exceptionally difficult to observe because it blooms only briefly during the daytime and under particular conditions, helping explain why Muzan's centuries-long search never succeeded.

Aoba's work allows the flower to become the subject of modern scientific attention rather than demon folklore.

Aoba appears in the modern epilogue through a television report concerning his discovery of the Blue Spider Lily. The plant had been sought obsessively by Muzan because of its connection to the medicine that originally transformed him.

Inosuke Hashibira is one of Aoba's ancestors. Although Aoba strongly resembles him physically, their personalities are markedly different.

Aoi Kanzaki is also Aoba's ancestor, establishing that she and Inosuke eventually had descendants together.

Muzan Kibutsuji has no direct relationship with Aoba, but the Blue Spider Lily that Aoba studies is the plant Muzan unsuccessfully sought throughout his existence as a demon.
