Canon has provided limited independent characterization, but Piper behaves as a trusted companion rather than a wild animal held at a distance.

Piper’s giant wings provide sustained flight while carrying multiple passengers. The owl can travel between Elbaf’s vertically separated regions.

Sharp senses and aerial mobility make Piper useful for reconnaissance and rapid transport.

No Devil Fruit, Haki, or supernatural ability has been identified.

Piper appears during the Straw Hats’ arrival on Elbaf and assists Gerd’s group in moving through the giant settlement.
